As it says in the title that's what it says when I click read nand is there a possible solution

Make sure you have your console plugged into the power brick but not turned on and check your connections and soldering it's usually caused by bad soldering or missing earth connection (Yellow wire).

You know if you are wired up properly if you press F2 and it tells you what console you have.

^^

Also make sure the wires are on the correct points and that yellow is soldered to the correct point or another ground source (AV ports, Chassis, etc)

Ya I think its my soldering I would take pictures of it but all my apple devices are saying cable not certified so my iphone won't charge
How did you figure that out that if you press F2 it shows what console so if I have a jasper and idk what size it is it will tell me?

Problems with Apple devices :^). They're all bad, but that's for a different sub-forum.

Take pictures with any means necessary so we can help you with your problem.

It's probably your soldering. Try resoldering everything.

It's common knowledge about F2. And if you have a Jasper you just need to know if it's a 16mb or 256mb / 512mb, which you can tell too by going into System / Memory and see if it has an internal memory unit, if it doesn't it's a 16mb, if it does it's one of the others and it really doesn't matter which when it comes to flashing the nand as the 256mb / 512mb files are the same.

I thought you can't read your nand? Why are you creating a ECC?

If you already read your nand, And wrote the ecc your xbox WON'T BOOT until you wire up the glitch chip.

The ecc was just written to the first few bytes of the nand, it needs the chip wired before it will boot for you.

When I had installed the nand-x wires and then plugged it into Nand-x and I had read the nand-x 4 times they were all the same then I clicked the button to the right of create ecc and it said ecc file needed so I immediately thought to click create ecc

If you have 4 good nand dumps then after clicking on create ecc click on write ecc, solder the glitch chip to the motherboard, program it if you have to and boot the console to get the cpu key.

Do I have to create a ecc file with a different program or can I use j-r programmer to create it

No need to use another program, j-runner is the easiest option.
  • #14
Ok I found a tutorial on YouTube for that thanks sorry I'm such a newbie
  • #15
Ok so I programmed the chip and whenever I plug the cable in the Xbox the coolrunner stays lit but it's a red light and when I press power literally nothing happens and I tried to press the eject button as well no luck
  • #16
what dash are you on? also did you write the correct xvsf file to the glitch chip. also any pics of your soldering would be great
  • #17
I'm on the latest dash and idk if I was supposed to do this but I took the CB_B.6753.bin and renamed it to CB_B.6754.bin and my soldering will be up in a second
  • #18
you might want to update your j-runner program and re download the dashes because CB_B.6754.bin should have in the common\CB folder already
  • #19
You should just be able to hit "program coolrunner" in J-Runner and program it to your needs.

Make sure it's hooked up properly.
